Name | Car and Carriage Museum, The Frick Pittsburgh |
About | The Car and Carriage Museum at the Frick Pittsburgh houses the antique carriage collection of Gilded Age industrialist Henry Clay Frick and an assortment of Brass and Prewar Era cars donated by collectors in the Western Pennsylvania region. The Car and Carriage museum provides a look at transportation history from the 1880s thru the 1940s. The interpretation of both the permanent collection and temporary exhibits focuses on the social history of transportation, specifically the transitional period from carriage to car and the implications this shift had on the lives of everyday people. |
