The 2010 NAAM Annual Conference
Tupelo Automobile Museum
Tupelo, Mississippi
March 24-27, 2010
NAAM Scholarship Application Deadline: Friday, January 29, 2010
NAAM is dedicated to helping its members grow professionally through informative annual conferences and networking opportunities. To fulfill this goal, NAAM offers three scholarships each year to its annual conference. Each award includes a complimentary registration and up to $500 in travel expenses for transportation and hotel accommodations. The scholarship program is designed for museums that do not have the financial resources to pay for their staff to attend the meeting.
In order to participate in this program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- They must be a paid employee or board member of a legally organized not-for-profit institution.
- The institution must be essentially educational in nature and present regularly scheduled programs and exhibits that use and interpret objects for the public according to accepted standards.
- If the institution is not regularly open to the public, there should be plans in place to open to the public within the next two years.
Applicants for the scholarship must submit an application which asks for the applicant's position and job responsibilities along with the museum's annual operating budget and annual staff continuing education budget.
Application Deadline is Friday, January 29, 2010
Notification of scholarship result will occur in advance of Conference registration deadline.
